Every election cycle, we have about 10% of our district electorate deciding who will represent us in Congress. This is an injustice and a disservice to the larger community. As a result, our leaders have become complacent and feel they are safe.
Our team is passionate about economic, educational and racial justice for working class families throughout our district and Massachusetts at-large. We have no insider political connections and do not take direction from DC consultants or lobbyists. We are here to take direction from you, the people.
It is incredibly difficult for working-class people to run for Congress. Our system is designed to protect established incumbents and discourage anyone that is actually interested in the needs of working class people from running for office.
Michael believes in innovative and fresh policies that meet the moment and the needs of our people. We need more candidates like Michael who are not beholden to the needs of corporate interests at the expense of our families. This is a time in our history where we simply cannot afford to remain complacent and insist that the status-quo works for everyone. The truth is that it doesn't work. But we can change that. We can elect bold, progressive leaders with a vision for the future that incorporates the economic, educational, and cultural needs of our community. We can elect Michael Ruiz to United States Congress to represent to people of MA-8!
